Enormous Twisted Easel

I have finally finished this massive masterpiece. My mum's friend from her patchwork sisterhood asked for a card for her parents 65th wedding anniversary. I'm getting paid for this one!! She wanted it as big as I could make it. Well I decided on 12x12. I thought I'd go with the twisted easel as it offers more support to the card front than the standard easel.

I used 3 pieces of the backing board that comes with stampin up designer paper. I also used for the card front a piece of mount board from Eckersley's Art and Craft. I used some ivory shimmer card stock as my card base. All of the patterned paper is from a retired set from Stampin Up and it is my absolute favourite. The plain cardstock used is Stampin Up apart from the black one. The lace and ribbon from local Spotlight and the little heart pin is Heidi Grace.
Of course by now you would have guessed that the flowers are from that wonderful place ... Wild Orchid Crafts
I didn't have any purple flowers and I thought I would give colouring them with my Copics a go. I think they turned out OK.

I'm also entering this in the Magnolia- licious highlights challenge blog. In the April challenge as it's a Tilda and Edwin together theme.

For the centre circle on the front of the card I used week 132 sketch from Mojo Monday.

Would love to know what you think!!!
Thanks for stopping by.

Home Made Copic Storage

I had a lot of problems trying to find something to store my Copics in. I really need to go
check out Ikea!! But for now I needed something!! My collection was out growing my ziploc bag. Yes you read that right ziploc bag. So with trusty google I searched high and low for what people were using to store their Copics. I found some great and some not so great and some totally unique.
The best one I found was on this blog

http://mymagnoliaworld.blogspot.com/2011/02/copic-storage-instructions.html

So this was the one I used. I don't think mine is as flash, but it's definitely functional.

Midsummer Tilda

I made this birthday card on request from my mother in law. It is for her friends 80th birthday. I hope she likes it!!!

The cardstock and patterned paper are both from Stampin Up.The oval shapes are cut with creative memories cutting system. The gorgeous flowers are once again from the wonderful world of Wild Orchid Crafts
Cherry blossoms and a curly Wild Rose. The sentiment stamps are clear stamps from Studio G.
Midsummer Tilda is coloured with Copics: E000, E00, E11, E25, E27, E50, BG15, BG13, BG10 and R20. I added Kindy Glitz in Crystalina to her dress.
Mini tilda is coloured with copics as well but I can't remember exactly which I used similar to Midsummer Tilda except hair and wings.
Thanks for stopping by to have look. Would love it if you have the time to drop me a comment.
